Great episode. As a fellow Brit I think you're bang on about the left's fear of pointing out the role of espionage in our politics. All the US CIA stuff from the 50s onward is readily available but the UK's involvement in similar actions require real digging to find. Even when reading about events like the Iran coup and Patrice Lumbumba's death, mention of MI6's role is minimised in comparison to the CIA's, even though we were just as instrumental in carrying them out.
